It was almost destroyed by a fire in 1919 but was saved by the sailors of the Grand Fleet who were based there. Around Christmas time in the nineties and noughties I’d often get a discounted bottle of this off a friend who worked at the Allied bottling site in Dumbarton. I have it on good authority that every second house in the town has a handsomely stocked loft of Scotch from the same source. Printed on 230 gram matt heavyweight paper with Epson inks.
